Volkswagen New-Vehicle Limited Warranty
Included with all new Volkswagen vehicles.
The Volkswagen basic warranty covers your vehicle against defects for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This means that repairs to almost any component of your new Volkswagen will be taken care for no cost to you during the warranty period. There is even coverage on "wear and tear" items for a full year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
This basic warranty is sometimes called the bumper-to-bumper warranty because just about anything you can think of is covered. If anything on your new Volkswagen is defective or not operating as it was designed, we?ll fix it for you.
Under the Volkswagen Powertrain Warranty, things like the engine, transmission, front and/or rear transaxles and other drive components are covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. On 2011 and newer Volkswagen Touareg models, that coverage extends for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. You can be confident in knowing that your new Volkswagen is covered for years to come.
If you feel the need to extend your coverage beyond what the factory warranty offers, then Volkswagen has a variety of options for you.
- Powertrain Coverage - Powertrain covers the major components on your vehicle and offers protection against many major mechanical breakdowns.
- Silver Plan - Silver offers all of the same features of Powertrain, with the following additional benefits: Steering, Brakes, A/C, Font Suspension, Electrical.
- Gold Plan - Gold offers all of the same features of Powertrain and Silver, with the following additional benefits: Engine, Transmission, Drive Axle, Steering, Brakes, A/C, Font Suspension, Electrical.
- Gold Plus Plan - Gold Plus offers all of the same features of Powertrain, Silver, and Gold, with the following additional benefits: Cooling, Fuel System, A/C, Steering, Front & Rear Suspension, Electrical.
- Platinum Plan - In addition to offering the same features of Powertrain, Silver, Gold, and Gold Plus, Platinum expands to cover almost all assemblies of your vehicle, giving you the "Ultimate Peace of Mind" protection. View Protection Plans Brochure

WorldAuto Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
The WorldAuto program covers every Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sold at VW of Athens.
- This standard bumper-to-bumper Limited Warranty covers all Certified Pre-Owned vehicles for up to 24 months or 24,000 miles.
- To become certified, every pre-owned Volkswagen must pass a 112-point inspection. Our certified VW technician goes through each and every point with care and precision.
- You'll also receive the security of two years of 24-hour Roadside Assistance. This covers towing expenses to the nearest Volkswagen dealership, jump-starting, and even gas fillup.
- Each WorldAuto CPO vehicle comes with a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report?.
- Each CPO vehicle also comes with three months of complimentary SiriusXM satellite radio service.
- To make things even easier, you'll be eligible for reduced interest rates on your purchase.
If you feel the need to extend your coverage beyond the standard WorldAuto Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty, then Volkswagen has a variety of options for you. You can select a plan where all major components are covered. So, if you have any trouble with your certified pre-owned vehicle, take it to your dealer and for covered repairs you?ll only pay the deductible you selected. Prepaid Scheduled Maintenance
Choose from two different prepaid scheduled maintenance plans that cover manufacturer-recommended scheduled maintenance services.
May be purchased either at the time of the retail sale or lease of the vehicle or at any time before the first scheduled maintenance covered under the plan is due.
It may be possible to finance the cost of Volkswagen Care as part of your vehicle loan or lease, provided that you make that decision at the time you purchase or lease your vehicle. Consult with your dealership or financing source for details.
Coverage
- Volkswagen Care may be purchased for the 2015 or newer Volkswagen model year.
- For model year 2015, Volkswagen Care covers the 20,000-mile and 30,000-mile manufacturer-recommended scheduled maintenance services as stated in your vehicle?s USA Warranty and Maintenance booklet.
- For model year 2016, Volkswagen Care covers the 10,000-mile, 20,000-mile, and 30,000-mile manufacturer-recommended scheduled maintenance services as stated in your vehicle?s USA Warranty and Maintenance booklet.

Volkswagen Parts Limited Warranty
Comes With Any Genuine Volkswagen Parts
Warranty replacement parts are covered within the remaining portion of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or within 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever is greater.
Customer-purchased parts are covered within 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, beginning on the date of sale to the retail customer. If the part is installed, the installation date is considered the retail date.
New or remanufactured parts installed during the warranty period are covered for any unused portion of the New Vehicle, Powertrain, or Emissions Warranties, or for the time and mileage limits of the Volkswagen Parts Warranties, whichever is greater.
Genuine Volkswagen Accessories Warranty
Accessories (e.g., roof rack, MDI box, alloy wheels) installed prior to New Vehicle delivery, are covered for the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period.
Volkswagen Accessories installed by an authorized Volkswagen dealer are covered for the greater of: (1) the accessory limited warranty period (12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first) from the time of purchase; or (2) the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period (3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first).
